Get to know Millie Shaw, our new Remortgage Paralegal!
Millie has now joined the Sort Legal team in Derby. Now Millie has completed her first week with Sort Legal; we wanted to catch up and get to know her personally. We disgusted everything from her reasons for joining Sort Legal and career prospects to her favourite music and sausage dog Frank!

What is your new role at Sort Legal?
My new role at Sort Legal is - Remortgage Paralegal.
What attracted you to Sort Legal?
I was attracted to Sort Legal by the first impression I got from the firm, that it is a very friendly workplace, and all employees work together as a team. I was also attracted by the wide range of training offered, allowing me to enhance my knowledge in many different areas.
What are you most looking forward to in your new role?
I’m looking forward to getting to grips with the process and eventually getting my case to work on.
Who has inspired your career path most in your life?
My mum has inspired my career path most in my life as she’s always encouraged and supported whatever I chose to do, and she’s always been the person I would turn to if I needed any help or support.
What’s your favourite place to visit in your free time?
I enjoy walking my miniature sausage dog Frank during my free time, so I try to take him to as many different spots as possible, my favourites being Dovedale and Dimmingsdale.
What is your favourite song of all time and why?
My favourite song would have to be Take Care by Drake because he’s my favourite artist and me and my partner and love singing along to it when we’re in the car.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could live anywhere in the world, it would be Cornwall as there are so many beautiful different beaches and scenic places and I’ve enjoyed lots of trips there with my family and have many good memories here.
How would your friends and family describe you?
My friends and family would describe me as a very chilled out person who is always up for a laugh and a major foodie.
What would you like to achieve career wise in the next year?
In the following year, career wise, I aim to achieve the ability to manage my caseload, handle the more complicated cases, and help other members of my team with their cases.
What would your dream home look like?
My dream home would have a swimming pool, gym, and huge fields for my dog to be able to run around in.
