Meet Our New Starter - Natalie Walker

23 Nov 2024

Natalie Walker has joined the Sort Legal team, and we're pleased to have her on board. Natalie will now be working as a Conveyancing Assistant at our Cardiff office.

We have taken the time to get to know Natalie and ask about her previous experience, personal goals and more. This is an excellent opportunity to get to know Natalie as she starts her career at Sort Legal; check out her answers below!

What attracted you to Sort Legal?

I was attracted to Sort Legal because, during the interview, I got the vibe that it was a firm that was not only looking for the right person for the firm but also wanted to be the right firm for me.

Tell us about your experience? What did you do before Sort Legal?

I spent five months working as a Conveyancing paralegal. I previously worked at Amazon, where I completed my Law Degree through the Open University.

What inspired your career choice? Why Conveyancing?

I decided to study Law after being inspired by individuals in the Miscarriage of Justice arena; I chose Conveyancing because I was looking for experience and was allowed to learn Conveyancing.

Who is your hero?

Dr Ivy Williams was the first woman to be called to the Bar in 1922; although she never practised Law, she was the first woman to teach at a British University.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In five years, I would like to be a qualified Solicitor and hopefully qualified in a second jurisdiction.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Buy a new car.

How would your friends describe you?

Crazy, loyal, intelligent and hardworking.

If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to?

If I could go back in time, it would be in 1960 to meet John F Kennedy.

What are your hobbies?

Swimming, DIY, Photography, Horse Riding, Socialising.

If you were ruler of your own country, what would be the first Law you would introduce?

I would introduce a Law requiring compulsory voting.
