A big welcome to Jack Gibb, our new Admin Assistant in Post Completion.

22 Nov 2024

Meet our new starter, Jack Gibb. He joined us in April and has taken on his new role as Admin Assistant in the Post Completion team brilliantly.

We caught up with Jack to find out how he's finding everything so far.

How have you found your first month at Sort Legal?

My first month at Sort Legal has been a completely new challenge. I feel like I’ve started a different chapter of my life, and I look forward to continuing it.

How did you hear about Sort Legal?

I was made aware of the position through a co-worker I knew before joining Sort Legal.

What are you most looking forward to during your new role?

I’m most looking forward to the chance to learn more and grow from this experience.

What do you like doing in your spare time?

Most of my spare time is focused on maintaining my health. This consists of going to the gym daily, running twice a week and cooking food that will best support my health.

Who inspires you?

As arrogant as it may sound, I inspire myself. I believe self-inspiration is the greatest way to push yourself to be the best. As much as I may have struggled In the past, I have always come out as a stronger individual. If I compare myself to who I was before, I can see that I can accomplish so much. That inspires me to do my best.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

I would have to take super speed. Efficiency is important in every aspect of a person’s life, so the ability to enhance efficiency would be incredibly useful.

What is your all-time favourite movie?

The Karate Kid.

Tell us something few people know about you?

Not many people know that I recently took up gardening. I built my own raised garden bed from scratch and have begun growing my own wheat.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Realistically, in a similar area to where I do now. There is no way that I could move far away from both my family and my job. Plus, I can’t complain about my home; it’s shaped who I am.

What advice would you give something just starting their career in conveyancing?

To prepare for a whole new world. It’s been 6 weeks since my first day, and I know I have much more to accomplish. This career is different to many things I’ve done beforehand, so I’d advise anyone to expect change.
