Tell us a bit about your role with the company…

I am a client inception executive, and I work within the new business team. We are the first point of contact for new clients and assist them with the onboarding of their claims.

How have you found it at Sort Legal so far?

I can honestly say I’ve loved it, I feel right at home here! Everyone is so lovely and willing to help with any questions I’ve had – which is a lot. I’ve learnt so much and can’t wait to see where the role takes me.

What made you want to join our Sort Legal team?

Although I interviewed at multiple firms, Sort Legal stood out to me as somewhere I could see myself working long-term and progressing. Their dedication to providing and maintaining a high-quality service to their clients whilst undertaking massive growth as a firm was impressive, but also their genuine passion for supporting and pushing their staff to develop professionally was what made me sure this is where I wanted to work.

What did you do before joining Sort Legal?

I worked in banking for 8 years as a contractor before going back to university to study my LPC and then LLM. I then worked in financial litigation for a large commercial firm before moving to Sort Legal to start my conveyancing career.

How would your friends and family describe you in 3 words?

Ambitious, caring, loyal

How would you spend your perfect day off?

A long beach walk with my partner and my puppy, followed by Thai food, a nice glass of wine, and a good movie

Do you have any interesting hobbies or interests outside of work?

I am currently training for the Great North Run, where I’m raising money for MacMillan Cancer Support, so I have taken a keen interest in running these last few months. I am also learning to play classical piano.

If you had to choose only one country’s cuisine to eat for the rest of your life, which would it be and why?

Italian, because – Pasta!

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

The dream was always to live in Ghana, which is where my dad is from, and he lives there with a lot of my family. It's an incredible place, the people, the culture, I love everything about it. However, now I am happy with my life in the northeast and would be more than happy with a holiday home there one day!

A genie grants you one wish, what do you wish for?

My mum is currently fighting stage 4 cancer, so I would wish for her to be healthy

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Professionally, a qualified conveyancer (still working for Sort Legal of course), running my own files and hopefully helping to train someone in my position now, the way I am currently being supported.

Personally, my dream is to have my own family by then and be living in a lovely house by the coast.

What advice would you give to someone starting in client inception?

Go for it! It’s a great opportunity to learn about conveyancing and to work with some great people – I look forward to coming into work every day, that isn’t something to take lightly – you won’t regret it!
