22 Jan 2025

Meet our new apprentice, Munhim. Since joining us in September, he has settled in to his new role well at Sort Legal.

We took some time to get to know him better and share his journey with us so far.

How have you found it at Sort Legal so far?

So far, I’ve really enjoyed my time at Sort Legal. The team has been welcoming, and the environment feels collaborative and professional. I’m excited to continue new things and progress in my role.

What made you want to join our Sort Legal team?

I was drawn to Sort Legal because I’m eager to develop a career in the legal industry, and their reputation for innovation and professionalism stood out to me. I’m particularly interested in the legal side of property, so I knew this role would provide me with great exposure to that.

What did you do before joining Sort Legal?

Before joining Sort Legal, I was studying for my A-levels in Business, Computer Science, and Criminology. I also worked as a sales assistant in a retail store.

Tell us something a few people know about you.

Something that a few people may know about me is that I’ve held leadership roles like being the deputy head boy at my school. I also ran for the position of youth mayor in Derby and I was a member of the Voice in Action Youth Committee. I also play cricket for a local club.

What would your perfect day off look like?

My perfect day off would involve getting some much-needed rest, spending time with family, going to the gym, and going out with friends.

What’s your favourite movie and why?

I don’t have one specific favourite movie, but I enjoy anything that has a mix of action, comedy, and thrill. Movies with a great balance of excitement and comedy always keep me entertained and engaged.

What was your favourite subject in school and why?

My favourite subject was Business. I’ve always been fascinated by how companies operate, which sparked my interest in the structure and management of businesses. This is also what drew me to Sort Legal.

A genie grants you one wish, what do you wish for?

I would wish to manage and lead a team one day. I love working in teams and developing leadership skills, so having the opportunity to lead would be a fulfilling career goal.

What do you think you can bring to Sort Legal?

I bring a combination of strong work ethic, adaptability, and leadership experience. Through my roles as deputy head boy and playing for the cricket team, I’ve learned to work well under pressure and support others. I’m also eager to learn and grow in the conveyancing field.

What would you say to someone looking to start a career in Conveyancing?

I would say that it’s important to be detail-oriented and always willing to learn. Building strong relationships with your team and clients is essential, and starting in a supportive environment like Sort Legal can give you the foundation you need to grow.
