Celebrating Faiza Saghir for National Apprenticeship Week!

It’s National Apprenticeship Week, and what better way to celebrate than shining a light on our wonderful past and present Apprentices at Sort Group.
Faiza joined Sort Legal in May 2021 as Apprentice Administration Assistant and embarked on her Apprenticeship in Business Administration. Faiza’s Apprenticeship took 18 months from start to finish, spending one day a week at college. Faiza required some additional support from her mentor, Janet during the apprenticeship, in the form of regular one to one coaching sessions. Faiza qualified in June 2023 and was promoted to Remortgage Paralegal.
Would you recommend an Apprenticeship to those considering it as a route into a career?
“I would definitely recommend it. I think an apprenticeship is the way forward into getting into a career in Conveyancing. My apprenticeship has given me key work/business skills that will last me into the future. Learning and earning at the same time is brilliant and is helped by having peers around you who support you when needed. The apprenticeship has given me a new experience and has helped me build relationships with clients, colleagues and our introducers.”
What are the top three highlights of your time at Sort Legal so far?
· Fitting into the work environment and starting my Conveyancing career.
· Manage my own caseload.
· Dealing with customers on a day-to-day basis.
What are you looking forward to achieving within the next few years of your career?
I’m looking forward to learning about more complex cases, building my knowledge and confidence even further, and becoming more independent.
