Celebrating Sidra Bhatti for National Apprenticeship Week!

03 May 2024

It’s National Apprenticeship Week, and what better way to celebrate than shining a light on our wonderful past and present Apprentices at Sort Group.

Sidra joined Sort Legal in Feb 2021, and started her Apprenticeship in Level 3 Business Administration. Sidra successfully passed her Apprenticeship in October 2022 and was promoted to Remortgage Paralegal, and has been managing her own Remortgage case load ever since.

How did you find your Apprenticeship journey?

My apprenticeship journey has been incredibly rewarding. The hands-on experience and mentorship has allowed me to develop practical skills and gain insights into working within a wider group. It has been a valuable opportunity to grow both professionally and personally.

How important is having the right support from your mentors?

Having the right support from mentors is crucial as they provide guidance and knowledge from their own experiences which can have a huge impact on your own development. Their support during day-to-day challenges can influence making informed decisions and help with your personal growth.

What did you find to be the most useful module of your Apprenticeship for transferring into skills you could use in your day-to-day job?

All of the modules within the course have been useful at different points during my role. Modules such as communication skills, project management, leadership and organisational skills have all contributed to my overall development and daily responsibilities.

What advice would you give someone just starting their Apprenticeship journey?

Don’t hesitate to ask questions, even if it seems silly! It may seem daunting especially for someone without experience in a working environment but if you embrace each opportunity to learn and develop your skillset, you’ll find your journey as an apprentice to be rewarding.
