Introducing Chidinma Chukwuma, our new Finanical Crime Analyst in South Shields

We are excited to introduce Chidinma Chukwuma, our newest Financial Crime Analyst at Sort Legal! Based in our South Shields office, Chidinma has already been settling into her role, bringing valuable experience and enthusiasm to the team.
We took the time to learn about Chidinma, her journey so far, and what attracted her to Sort Legal.
How have you found it at Sort Legal so far?
It's been a wonderful experience so far. I've had the chance to work with great people, and I'm learning so much every day.
What made you want to join our Sort Legal team?
When I saw the role, it felt like a perfect match for my skills, and that’s what really motivated me to apply. I was excited about the opportunity to bring my experience in the conveyancing sector to the team. The interview process was also a pleasant surprise - it felt more like a friendly chat than a formal interview, which made me feel at ease. I really appreciated how Sort Legal places such a strong emphasis on investing in their people - it’s clear they genuinely care about their team’s growth and development.
What did you do before joining Sort Legal?
At the time, I was working as a Customer Service Representative, a role I took on after university. Prior to that, I worked as an AML Specialist at a bank.

I've always had a passion for modelling.
How would your friends and family describe you in 3 words?
Happy-go-lucky, resilient, funny
What did you want to be when you were younger?
A medical doctor (lol... my parents were doctors so I felt that would be cool)
Do you have any interesting hobbies or interests outside of work?
I love to travel and makeup artistry
A genie grants you one wish, what do you wish for?
If granted one wish, I would wish for endless curiosity and the ability to continuously learn and understand. This would allow me to always stay updated, explore new areas of knowledge, and better assist people in solving problems
What do you think you can bring to Sort Legal?
I will bring a combination of key skills, expertise, and a proactive approach that can significantly contribute to my team’s ability to detect, prevent, and address financial crimes.
