Introducing our new Remortgage Paralegal, Juwairiyyah Vaseem

We're excited to introduce our latest Remortgage Paralegal, Juwairiyyah Vaseem, who joined us late last year and is based in our Teesside office.
Now that she's settled into her new role, we took some time to get to know her, learning more about her journey, interests, and how she's finding life at Sort Legal.
How have you found it at Sort Legal so far?
So far, I am really enjoying my time at Sort Legal, everyone has been so lovely and welcoming!
What made you want to join our Sort Legal team?
I joined the Sort Legal team after relocating to the North East.
What did you do before joining Sort Legal?
Before joining Sort Legal I did some remortgage work alongside some accountancy.
Tell us something a few people know about you?
I love a nice caramel latte – both hot and cold.
In my spare time, I enjoy baking and experimenting in the kitchen.
I am a thrill seeker and like to challenge myself.
How would you spend your perfect day off?
My perfect day off would be a shopping day, brunching, and coffee!
If you could make an office rule that everyone had to follow for a day, what would it be?
For everyone to have an afternoon together to network, ease each other's workload and breathe.
What was your favourite subject in school and why?
My favourite subject in school was English – this was because of the countless opportunities to use my imagination and go into depth by pulling apart books and novels.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
In 5 years time, I see myself excelling in conveyancing hopefully with a nice balance between remortgage and residential work.
What would you say to someone looking to start a career in Conveyancing?
Just to be open-minded, patient, organised, and ready for any challenges to arise. Conveyancing can be challenging but it is equally as rewarding!
