We give a big welcome to Lisa Bailey, who joins us at our new South Shields office as Conveyancing Case Handler. Lisa joined us in May and now she's settled, we took some time to get to know her more...
How have you found it at Sort Legal so far?
I am really enjoying it. Everyone has been so welcoming, and it's a really nice working environment.
What made you want to join our Sort Legal team?
I got a good vibe at my interviews and was really impressed with the set up and technologies.
What did you do before joining Sort Legal?
I have been working in Property Law for over 20 years, starting as a legal secretary and progressing to a Paralegal. I initially worked in commercial property and dabbled in residential property. I have now specialised in Residential Conveyancing for around 8 years.
Tell us something a few people know about you?
I am a keen sewer and have my own Etsy shop selling small items such as wash bags.
Who inspires you?
My Mum. She has always encouraged me to push myself and supported me through everything, even now!
What's your favourite holiday destination?
The Canary Islands
If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
To see into the future. I am a bit of a worrier!
What would you say to someone looking to start a career in Conveyancing?
It's a bit tedious, but read the Land Registry practice guides. They give so much information you use on a day-to-day basis.
