Kavita Vashisht, Remortgage Paralegal, has joined the Sort Legal Derby Team.

We spent some time with Kavitai this week, getting to know her personally. She shared her career goals, what attracted her to Sort Legal and lots more; check out our Q&A blog below.

What is your new position at Sort Legal?

Remortgage Paralegal

 

Tell us about your previous experience; what did you do before Sort Legal?

 I worked as a Legal administration Officer at HM Land Registry and as a Paralegal at several high Street law firms.

 

What attracted you to Sort Legal?

 I have always wanted to do Residencial Conveyancing and develop my career in this field.

 

How have you found your first week?

My first week was good. I was so busy doing several online courses and learning a new system. I also received and enjoyed the training on Remortgage Paralegal Process with my Manager.

 

What advice would you give someone looking to start a career in conveyancing?

 I would say try to get familiar with the conveyancing process. It will be a lot easier if you already know the process.

 

What is your favourite way to unwind?

 I swim and do some exercise to unwind myself.

 

 Who is your hero?

My mother is my hero. Her work ethic, ambition, cleverness and empathy inspire me. She does a lot of voluntary work to support Community and help people.

 

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

Vrindavan (is a small village in India)

What is your proudest accomplishment?

I always provided excellent customer service wherever I worked and always received positive feedback from my previous Managers and service users.
