Meet Our New Starter - Tasleema Hussain

We have another new team member this week, Tasleema Hussian. As part of Tasleemas's first week at Sort Legal, we spent some time getting to know her personally. We chatted about everything from her career goals, reasons for joining Sort Legal and her dream home. Check out our Q&A below.

Welcome to the team, Tasleema!

What is your new role at Sort Legal?

My new role is as a remortgage paralegal.

What attracted you to Sort Legal?

Sort Legal is unique, and I like that it is not a big or high street firm. I wanted to develop a career in conveyancing, and when I saw the vacancy, I thought this was a place I wanted to work. I believed with my experience and knowledge, I would be able to work as a remortgage paralegal and benefit the team.

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?

 I am interested in developing a career in conveyancing and receiving training to progress in my position as a remortgage paralegal.

Who has inspired your career path most in your life?

My parents inspired my career path.

What’s your favourite place to visit in your free time?

My favourite place to visit is my parents’ house in my free time.

Who is your favourite television or movie character?

My favourite movie character is Jasmine from Aladdin because She is strong, independent and loyal and does not want a pet tiger!

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If I could live anywhere in the world, I would live in Canada because they are known for being a friendly and safe place to live.

What is something new you’d like to learn? 

I want to learn and develop my skills in remortgaging and develop my skill set as a paralegal.

What would you like to achieve career wise in the next year?

In the following year, I would like to understand remortgages and then move to a different department to gain knowledge in that area, such as sale, purchase or transfer of Equity.

What would your dream home look like?

My dream home would look modern but comfortable.
