Meet Our New Starter - Trey Wilks

We’re pleased to announce that we have a new Remortgage Paralegal, Trey Wilks.

Trey has settled into our Derby team, and we’re excited to see his career progress!

This week we caught up with Trey to see how his first month has been at Sort Legal. We also got to know him personally, sharing his thoughts on why he chose Sort Legal, his favourite hobbies and more.

How has your first month been at Sort Legal? 

I have enjoyed my first month at sort legal, I feel I have picked things up quite quickly, and everyone has been very friendly and welcoming.

What attracted you to Sort Legal?

Sort Legal seemed like a very welcoming company from the interview that invests in its employees by contributing to further qualifications.  

How did you get into Conveyancing? Have you always wanted to work in Law? 

When studying for my degree, one of the modules I quite enjoyed was property law, so I was interested in gaining practical experience in this area. 

Tell us about your previous experience; what did you do before?

I completed my degree in Law at Sheffield Hallam University in 2020, finishing straight into the pandemic. I have worked various jobs, but I am now ready to begin my legal career. 

Who is your hero?

My mum and grandparents for looking after/raising me.

Tell us something few people know about you.

Few people know that I am vegetarian. 

If you were ruler of your own country, what would be the first Law you would introduce?

People only work 5 hours a day, including lunch. 

Tell us two things you’re passionate about.

I am very passionate about football & health/fitness. 

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I see myself having gained a wealth of experience in the legal sector and becoming qualified in whatever area I enjoy the most. 

How would your friends describe you?

Very active & social.
