Sort Legal named one of the UK's Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers

08 Jul 2026

We're proud to announce that Sort Legal has been ranked 42nd in this year's Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers, increasing from our 45th ranking last year.

The Top SME Apprenticeship Employers rankings, developed by the Department of Education in partnership with Higherin, recognise organisations that are committed to investing in apprenticeships. Employers are assessed on factors including apprentice recruitment, successful completions and the diversity of their apprenticeship programmes.

At Sort Legal, apprenticeships are about more than developing new skills. They're about creating meaningful career opportunities and investing in people for the long term. Achieving this recognition reflects our continued commitment to supporting apprentices across every stage of their journey, and we're incredibly proud of every apprentice, past and present, who has contributed to this achievement.

A huge thank you to our apprentices for their hard work, dedication and for sharing their experiences, to our mentors and colleagues for the support and guidance they provide every day, and to our apprenticeship partners for helping us create opportunities that make a real difference.

Our Group Head of HR, Carolyn Mars commented:

"We are extremely proud of placing in the rankings for the TOP 50 SME apprenticeship employers again.
Our apprenticeships have allowed us to nurture and develop individuals according to our core values and train to the levels expected by our customers and the industry.
They have provided us with diversity, fresh ideas and new ways of working and have supported the development of our mentors who have grown as trainers and supervisors.
Our most recent apprenticeship pathways have been within Business Administration, ICT, Marketing and Accounting and we are very proud of all of our apprentices and their Mentors."
