We are thrilled to welcome Ava Moore to Sort Legal. Based in our South Shields office, Ava joined us in January with a background in property and a passion for conveyancing. Drawn to Sort Legal for its strong reputation, Ava is eager to grow her career toward becoming a property lawyer.
Now that she is settled into her role, we took the opportunity to get to know her better.
How have you found it at Sort Legal so far?
The work environment is great, and everyone is so friendly and helpful. It's always busy, but enjoyable. So far so good!
What made you want to join our Sort Legal team?
Sort Legal caught my attention because of its strong reputation and values. I am keen to expand my knowledge of the conveyancing aspects of properties, and I know that Sort Legal can support and guide me on this.
What did you do before joining Sort Legal?
For the last few years, I have worked at Newcastle Building Society, mainly dealing with property purchases.
Tell us something a few people know about you...
My comfort TV programme is The Office (US version, of course). I’ve watched it a million times on repeat, but I still laugh at the same jokes.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
It's got to be somewhere close to the beach and sunny, so probably Italy. I just love pizza and pasta too much! But all my family, friends and dog would have to move with me too. I would miss them too much.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
I changed my mind all the time, but I mainly wanted to be a vet because I love animals.
Which actor/actress would you want to play ‘you’ in your autobiography movie?
Probably Jennifer Lawrence, she’s in some of my favourite films and has a great sense of humour.
If you could invent one thing, what would it be?
A time machine to see how the Pyramids were actually constructed.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years, I hope to be settled in my conveyancing career and qualified as a property lawyer.
What would you say to someone looking to start a career in Conveyancing?
Go for it! There is a lot to learn, but it’s interesting.
